Rob and Lisa's Wedding

Our wedding party is best described by Aristotle, "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies."

Introducing our wedding party:

		Christine "sweet 16" Brisson, Maid of Honour Lisa: I interviewed Christine for a job in a bar 8 or 9 years ago. Next thing I know, she's living in my house and learning all my secrets. I am so fortuneate to have someone who cut through all my #!&* and love me for who I am. Rob: When I first started hanging-out with Lisa, I had never been over to her house. Lisa told me she had a "drop-dead gorgeous" roommate, named Christine, that I "have to meet." Months later, I had the pleasure of meeting Christine. Lisa was right, this is someone I had to meet; and, I am a better person for it.
		Moni (my darling) De, Bridesmaid Lisa: I have known Moni since I was 16. Moni convinced me to go to India with her (she has a certain power over me, what can I say, have you met her?). It was one of the most challenging places that I have ever been. I do not think that there is another person on this earth who I could have made that trip with. Moni, you are an amazing woman and I am so lucky to have you in my life. Rob: I was assured by friends that New Years Eve 2000 in Kamloops was going to be more to be more fun than Vancouver and worth driving the distance. When I asked what was going to make all the difference, I was told it would be Moni. Monica, was a pillar of good organization and great fun to boot! Stevinder and Sierra Crow, Videographers Lisa: I met Stevie 13 years ago when he travelled across the country to court Moni. He slept on my porch, crazy mountain boy. Steve is a poet and an artist. The thing I love about Stevie, is that he knows what he wants and how to really live life, and then he does it.
		Melissa Miralles, Bridesmaid Lisa: I met Melissa in Rob's living room at a Thanksgiving dinner. She was South American and stunning. I knew we would hit it off. Since then, Melissa has become an indispensable part of my life. She truly understands the meaning of friendship.
		Wanda(licious) Thompson, Bridesmaid Lisa: I met Wanda at a party in Kamloops, she was twirling her pois with carefree abandon and dancing like there was no tomorrow. I have never met another person with so much positive energy and life force. Wanda is the little sister I never had.
		Chris Smith, Best Man Rob: I have the fortune to be apart of his youth and our continued frienship. Chris is the most honourable man I know. Nobody knows me better than Chris. Lisa: I heard a lot about Chris before I ever met him. He and Rob are so very alike and so very different, it's scary. I am glad that Rob has a friend like Chris.
		Bryan Wilson, Groomsman and Brother
		Sascha Yamashita, Groomsman and Shawn Swanson Lisa: I met Sascha and Rob the same night. He lived 2 blocks away and like to talk crap and drink scotch. My friendship with Sascha defies words and goes to a place only the heart knows.
		Terry Doi, aka T.Doi, Groomsman Rob: As the voice of good reason, Terry has always been looking out for our best interests. Terry gave us a watchful eye and subtle suggestions whenever he saw an area for improvement. Lisa: I met Terry in my living room. It was love at first sight. Over the years, Terry has showed me how to care about the well being of others, how to have high standards and how to be a good friend. "Take my thoughts with you, And when you look behind, You will surely see a face that you recognize."
		Annie Murphy and Simon Crawley, Mistress and Master of Ceremony Lisa: I met Simon at a party in Vernon. He was a planner, likes to dance, drink expensive alcohol and cook. Annie is his lovely counter part. She is a whiz in the kitchen and always the last one on the dance floor. Who would not love them? Simon and Annie inspire me to follow my dreams and be true to myself.
		Dan Klein, Minister Lisa: I met Dan through Simon. He danced the Dan Klein pokey. Dan is full of love, happiness and good times. I treasure the moments that I have with him and could not think of a person who I would rather have sanctify my marriage.
		(Super) Sarah Evans, Make-up Artist, Hair Design and General Drinking Support Lisa: Sarah's nick name says it all. Her outward beauty is only surpassed by the beauty within. She has so much personal strength and wisdom to share with the world. Oh yeah, and she can dance like a mo.fo.
		Megan Hawker, Manicurist and General Drinking Support Lisa: I met Megan a long time ago. Over the years, we have become closer and closer (now she can finish my sentences). She makes me feel good about myself and loved. If you want to make her happy, give her chips.
		David Jones, DJ Lisa: David has introduced me to some amazing music. He has provided me with a heavenly, bottomless pit of funk, disco and jazz. Thanks for making my feet move to the groove.
		The Band: Bryon and Stella Morrow, and Chris "Smoothie" Wilson I have so many happy memories with these three people. They have brought so much love and happiness into my life. Not to mention, shake to my booty.
		Crystal Wilson and Sheila Minten, Guestbook Divas Lisa: I met Crystal in a hot tub in Vernon. She was a perfect ray of yellow sunshine and happiness. She has kept on shining love into my life ever since. Whenever, I need to smile, I know who to call. I met Sheila on a couch in my house. We talked non-stop all night, then, eventually, she sold us our lovely home. Sheila is a key part of my life.
